Glenview CARES* is a group of staff and students that have come together to focus on the betterment of our social and environmental community.  Through fundraising for both local and international causes, carrying out in-school initiatives celebrating diversity and facilitating environmental education and conservation campaigns, this club does it all!

Glenview CARES has supported the following activities this school year:

Fall:

  • We Scare Hunger Food Drive
  • Walk to School Wednesdays
  • Aboriginal awareness
  • Buskerfest/Fundraiser and Awareness Campaign

Winter:

  • E-Waste/Styrofoam Drive
  • Multicultural Night
  • Pink Day (Standing up against bullying)
  • Glenview Park Learns in the Dark (Earth Hour)
  • Cambridge Shelter Fundraiser

Spring:

  • Pink Day (Standing up against bullying)
  • Toiletries Fundraiser for local shelter
  • 1000 Acts of Green Earth Week Challenge

New members are welcome to join at any time during the school year 🙂

Next year we are hoping to add a focus on staff and student wellness.  One of the areas we would like to address is Gr. 9 transition.  If you have any suggestions, please join us in C126 on Tuesdays at lunch.
