The Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) is a graduation requirement which assesses a student’s reading and writing skills (based on the Grade 9 curriculum expectations). While in previous years the OSSLT was written on one date, this year the test will be written within a timeframe from March 1 – April 26. Specific Grade 10 classes have been identified to write the OSSLT and these teachers will be communicating which dates the test will be written. The test will take two periods to write, over two days, with each day focusing on Part A and Part B. Students have up to two hours to write each part. Teachers will be running a practice session in class, with extra sessions running over two lunch periods. Please remind your student to bring their   chrome-book, fully charged, as the assessment will be run through an online platform.
