The Waterloo Region Vaccine Task Force is working to make sure that our youth can be safe to learn for September 2021.
Youth who are 12-17 years old in Waterloo Region and their family members who live in the same house can pre-register for a COVID-19 vaccination to get their first dose appointments between June 7 and June 20.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is approved by Health Canada for anyone 12 years of age and older.
Pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine on the Region of Waterloo Public Health website.
Youth must book an appointment at a vaccination clinic that offers the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Choose one of these clinics when booking an appointment to make sure there is Pfizer vaccine available for youth:
For clinic locations, visit our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Waterloo Region Map.
Youth should bring their health card on the day of their appointment. If they do not have a health card, please bring another piece of identification that confirms who they are and has a number/code on it.
To learn more about what to do before and after your appointment visit the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Waterloo Region page.
The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) encourages all who can to pre-register to receive their vaccine from Region of Waterloo Public Health. This is an important opportunity to prioritize the health of all in our community.
We are asking anyone who is eligible, including education workers, to make sure they are pre-registered on the Region of Waterloo Public Health website.
