On Thursday, March 5, Dr. Alison Yeung, a practicing family physician in the K-W-Cambridge area, will be giving an in-person talk on the topic of smartphones and social media.  This event is jointly sponsored by the School Councils at Glenview Park SS and St Andrews Public School and will be held at St. Andrews Public School, starting at 7:00 pm.  Registration is required.  Please open the following flyer and scan the QR code to register.

Dr. Yeung has spoken to several school communities in the KW area, and will address the following topics:

– the relationship between social media and mental health in children and teens

– signs of social media and/or videogame overuse

– why managing screentime has become so difficult for parents

– determining when a child is ready for a smartphone/social media account

– navigating tough conversations with your child or teen

– tips for healthy technology boundaries at home.
