As we prepare to welcome our students back on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, we want to share how schools in the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) will be impacted by public health measures announced this week.
WRDSB-operated Before and After School programs will not operate on Monday, January 3 and Tuesday, January 4. These programs will resume on Wednesday, January 5 with the reopening of schools. Fees will not be charged for the duration of the closure.
Non-WRDSB-operated Before and After School programs will also be closed on Monday, January 3 and Tuesday, January 4. Child care operators will communicate information directly with families. Families with questions should reach out to their provider for more information.
Purpose-built Child Care Centres (for 0 – 4-year-olds) will be open on Monday, January 3 and Tuesday, January 4.
Please direct any questions you may have to care@wrdsb.ca.
The COVID-19 school and child care screener has been updated by the Province prior to our return to school on Wednesday, January 5. These updates will ask students, parents and staff for rigorous screening and monitoring of symptoms to support the safety of all in our buildings.
